Personal data processing policy

In compliance with Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and related Colombian regulations, data subjects are hereby informed how their personal data is collected, used and protected.

Data controller

Dr. Luis Devoz — Cirugía Plástica, with a practice at Calle 127 #14-54 Consultorio 706, Gradecco Business Plaza, Bogotá, Colombia. Contact email: gerencia@luisdevozcirugia.com. Phone: +57 322 3324156.

Data collected

The data the subject provides when requesting an assessment or information: name, phone number, email address and the procedure they are enquiring about. In the course of medical care, health data is also collected, which Colombian law classifies as sensitive data and which the subject is free to withhold.

This website does not host forms that store information on our own servers: messages are sent directly through WhatsApp and are subject to that service's terms.

Purposes

  • Responding to information requests and scheduling assessments.
  • Providing and documenting medical care and its follow-up.
  • Meeting legal, accounting and medical-record obligations.
  • Sending information about services, only where the subject has given prior, express authorisation.

Rights of the data subject

Under article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, the subject may:

  • Access, update and rectify their data.
  • Request proof of the authorisation given.
  • Be informed of how their data has been used.
  • File complaints with the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio).
  • Withdraw authorisation or request deletion of the data, except where a legal or contractual duty to keep it applies — as is the case with medical records.

How to exercise them

By writing to gerencia@luisdevozcirugia.com with full name, identity document, contact details and the specific request. Enquiries are answered within a maximum of ten (10) business days and complaints within fifteen (15) business days, extendable under the terms of the law.

Security and retention

Reasonable technical, human and administrative measures are applied to prevent unauthorised access, loss or alteration of the information. Data is kept for as long as the purpose that justified its collection remains, and for the periods required by law; medical records are kept for the applicable legal term.

Effective date

This policy is effective from 27 August 2026. Any substantial change will be published on this same page.
